Date Night Cooking Class with Chef Travis Bartels
Date night is on! Sign up for a lovely night with your person of choice here at the Farm Stand at Bear Butte Gardens.
**To reserve a date, please call or message us. Additional dates are available, based on the chef's schedule, so please inquire.**
This event includes an entree cooking lesson with Chef Travis Bartels, culminating with a candlelit dinner for the two of you. You will be greeted with an appetizer during your entree cooking lesson, and then a salad and dessert will be added to your meal. Your meal will include a nonalcoholic beverage and water or you can add a bottle of wine or beer(s) for an additional charge.
Your entree options are a choice of locally raised grass fed and finished lamb chops, honey-glazed salmon filet with roasted seasonal squash, or gnocchi with pork ragu.
We are now taking reservations for evenings starting January 1st and going through the end of February. Please call or message us to make a reservation.
The price for the evening is $125 plus tax. We are also offering a $200 plus tax option that includes the dinner AND a one-night stay in our vacation rental that is connected to our farm stand building.
Chocolate Making Class with Kiara Poitra
Who doesn't love a delicious healthy treat?
Join us on Saturday, February 11th starting at 10am to enjoy some homemade chocolate made with cacao powder!
This $50 2-hour class will be filled with fun (and tasty) learning. Mix and match dried fruit, nuts, and herbs to find your new favorite treat. You will also learn about the various health-related benefits that come with the wonders of cacao.
Grape Jam Canning Class
Join us February 18th starting at 10am for a grape jam canning class!
During this class we will be making grape jam, doing the full canning process, and discussing the safe practices of canning. We are limiting this class to 8 participants. Registration is $35.
Beginning Gardening Basics
Is 2023 the year that you want to start gardening? Or have you tried gardening and it didn't work out as you expected? Join Michelle on Saturday, February 12th, at 1 p.m. for two hours of discussion around the basics of gardening. We will talk about containers, raised beds, and in-ground gardening; sourcing and choosing seeds; transplants; annuals and perennials; growing zones, and more! There is a $20 fee per person attending. This class will move along fast and you will come away from it with a lot of good notes. Class size is limited to 10 people due to space limitations.
