Chef MJ Adams
Farm-to-Table Dinner - August 2022
Chef MJ Adams lived in New York City for some time, then decided to bring her love and passion for local food and culinary art to the Black Hills in the fall of 1996. This is when she opened the Corn Exchange Restaurant.
Chef MJ was also the host of Savor Dakota seasons 1 & 2 on South Dakota Public Broadcasting. This was when she was able to spread more of her passion for local cuisine. “I was able to channel my theater background as the host,” says MJ.
From all this experience, MJ decided to write “The Corn Exchange Cookbook - from The Big Apple to The Black Hills”. It was published November of 2019 through Potted Rabbit Media.
MJ graduated from The French Culinary Institute in NYC (now The International Culinary Center) in 1989. In addition to her chef career, she also graduated from Casper College with a performing arts degree in 1983.
